Tips for Making Pre-Made Smoothies

Starting off each day with a refreshing smoothie sounds like a great idea, but cutting up fruit and measuring out ingredients first thing in the morning probably doesn’t.   

That’s why make-ahead smoothies are such a great option. You can do the preparation work for these drinks in advance so that when you’re ready to have one all you have to do is blend it up.  

You can use any fruit, bases, and other ingredients that you want to make all sorts of different combinations. Just follow the instructions below:

  1. Cut fruit up into blend-able pieces

  2. Measure out extras like chia seeds, coconut flakes, turmeric, and other spices

  3. Wash and measure greens like spinach or kale

  4. Pack all ingredients into storage bags, putting all of your chosen recipe’s ingredients together in the same bag. 

  5. Label the bags with the type of smoothie, and date of preparation

When it comes time to drink one of your creations, just add a base to your blender, such as yogurt or acai, and then take a pre-made smoothie pack out of the freezer and pour its contents in with your base. Then, just hit blend!
