How Often Should You Wash Bath Towels?

Most people think that bath towels stay relatively clean for a while after going through the process of being washed and dried. After all, you only use bath towels when you’re first getting out of the bath or shower, after you’ve gotten yourself squeaky clean, so they don’t get that dirty when drying you off, right? They still look clean, anyway.

It turns out, however, that experts suggest people wash bath towels after using them three times. Hand towels should be changed every two to three days since they might be used to dry hands or countertops that aren’t completely clean.

To properly clean bath towels, wash them separately in warm water in the washer. Try not to overload the washer so that the towels can get properly cleaned. After washing them, put the towels in the dryer on low heat.

The Quarters Apartment Homes has full-sized washer-dryer hookups and a utility room so our residents can always have a convenient place to wash their bath towels and other laundry. Our apartments are also equipped with modern appliances, walk-in closets, and nine-foot ceilings with crown molding.
