Ways to Destress at Your Apartment

If you find yourself getting stressed out from life throughout the week, it can be beneficial to take a little time out of each day to just relax.

You don’t have to book a full weekend at the spa to destress. There are many small things you can do right at your apartment to help you calm down. The next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, overworked, or just plain tired, consider trying one of the following activities:

  • Soak a washcloth in warm water and lavender essential oil. Then, squeeze out the excess water and lay down with the towel over your eyes. The combination of lavender and warm water will help you feel calm.

  • Fill up your tub with warm water and bubble bath, grab a favorite book or some magazines, and enjoy the steamy water while reading.

  • Find a comfortable place to sit, close your eyes, and practice taking deep breaths for a few minutes. You may want to play some soft music, rain sounds, or other white noise while you do this.
