Coffee is a popular drink to have for that morning jolt of caffeine. But, on a hot day (which we have plenty of in Florida), it is not always enjoyable to have sip something warm. That’s why many people drink iced coffee, especially if it’s going to be enjoyed on-the-go or outside. Here’s an easy way to make iced coffee in your home:
- Brew a pot of coffee as you normally would.
- Once it is finished brewing, transfer the coffee to a pitcher that is designed to hold hot liquids.
- When the coffee reaches room temperature, fill an ice cube tray with some of the coffee and place it in the freezer. (By using ice cubes that are also made of coffee, you don’t have to worry about the coffee being diluted and losing flavor as they melt.)
- Put the rest of the coffee in the fridge for at least one hour.
- Fill a glass with the coffee ice cubes and pour the coffee over it.
- Add sweetener, milk, creamer, or anything else you typically add to your coffee.
- Enjoy your iced coffee!
