Air conditioning is absolutely essential in Florida, especially during the spring and summer months when the temperature can be absolutely sweltering. However, just like any system, ACs function best when cared for and used properly.
Here are a few tips to keep the air conditioning at your apartment in Lady Lake, FL functioning properly:

Change your AC filters monthly. This will greatly improve the air quality in your home. Contact the main office for more information on changing the filters and we will be glad to assist you.

If the day is warm, keep the air conditioner on at least minimally all day, even if you’re away from the apartment. This will actually save electricity, and put less stress on the system by allowing the AC to maintain a constant temperature, instead of having to battle to cool a hot apartment in the late afternoon. If you’re concerned about leaving the AC on when you leave your apartment, set it to a higher but still manageable temperature, somewhere around 80˚F.

Make sure there is nothing obstructing your AC unit outside. If the fan on your AC is blocked, it will not be able to draw in the amount of air it needs to function optimally.

Do not close the vents in any one room to force cold air into another location, as this tends to stress the system and can cause your air conditioner to stop working altogether.

If any problems or malfunctions do arise, contact the management office immediately. We will someone out to fix the problem, reducing the likelihood of the issue becoming more serious and as well as minimizing the inconvenience of a broken AC.
