The Florida sun is bright, and most months out of the year, it is also hot. Our Lady Lake apartment community is right in the middle of Florida and all its heat. Residents at The Quarters can enjoy fun in the sun at the community pool or elsewhere around the community. However, it is extremely important for our residents to protect themselves from the sun and heat when spending time outdoors in the community.
When out in the sun for extended periods of time at The Quarters or around Lady Lake, be sure to:
- Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the bright sun and harmful UV rays
- Keep your head and neck covered with a sun hat
- Wear a sun block with at least SPF 15 to protect your skin from burning
- Drink plenty of water and stay well hydrated
- Seek shade frequently to keep cool
- Limit your outside time to before 10 a.m. or after 4 p.m., when sunlight is not quite as direct
The community clubhouse makes for a perfect nearby place to relax in some cool air conditioning when the Florida heat seems to be just too much.
